Why are there different licensing models?
- YSC and QSC (Yearly or Quarterly Service Charges) refer to Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) products, where the software and licensing are accessed online and not installed locally. These products are all included under the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform product range.
- YLC and QLC (Yearly or Quarterly License Charges) refer to Desktop Products (installed on the local machine) but licensed for a fixed term rather than in perpetuity. These are also known as Term Licenses.
