[Installation](https://faq.mecad.co.za/knowledge/solidworks-3d-cad?hsLang=en#installation) # What to do if the Installation Manager is blank If you open the SOLIDWORKS Installation Manager and see a blank screen with no options, this article explains how to resolve it. The issue is typically caused by blocked HTML files inside the downloaded or extracted installer folder. The two sections below cover both scenarios — preventing the issue before extraction and fixing it after extraction. **Extracting From Compressed File** Before extracting the installer, unblock the zip file to prevent its HTML files from being blocked by Windows. Follow these steps: 1. Right-click on the compressed zip file and select **Properties**. 2. Go to the **General** tab. 3. Under the **Security** section, check the **Unblock** box. 4. Click **Apply**, then **OK**. 5. Here's how: 1\. Navigate to the file path \\\sldim\\lang\\english\\HTML. Please note that this assumes that the file location is set to the default location. 2\. Once you are in the HTML folder, locate the "frameset.html" file. 3\. Right-click on the "frameset.html" file and select the "Properties" option from the context menu. 4\. In the Properties window, you will find a checkbox for "Unblock." Check this box to unblock the file. 5\. Click on the "Apply" button and then click on the "OK" button to save the changes. 6\. The screen should now display correctly.
