As an authorised SOLIDWORKS reseller, Mecad is here to help you understand and navigate the new SOLIDWORKS licensing changes — and to ensure a smooth transition for your team. What Is Changing with SOLIDWORKS Licensing? SOLIDWORKS Cloud Services is a suite of tools released by Dassault Systèmes that empowers engineering and design teams to improve collaboration, manage data in the cloud, and accelerate design sharing — helping teams overcome modern challenges and reduce time spent on repetitive tasks. Key benefits of SOLIDWORKS Cloud Services include: - Better Collaboration - Data Loss Prevention - Scalability and Flexibility - Advanced Security - Faster Time to Market From **July 2023**, all new purchases of SOLIDWORKS CAD include Cloud Services as part of their subscription — similar to how Visualize and CAM are bundled with relevant subscription tiers. Existing licence holders can upgrade to a SOLIDWORKS subscription that includes Cloud Services for a nominal fee, or continue to renew their current subscription if preferred. If you hold an existing subscription for a perpetual licence or a 1-year term licence of SOLIDWORKS CAD, you are not affected by these changes.
