SOLIDWORKS PDM License Comparison

SOLIDWORKS Product Data Management (PDM) is broken down into two license versions, PDM Standard and PDM Professional. Each version comprises of three different license types: PDM CAD Editor, PDM Contributor and PDM Viewer licenses.
Each of the license types is broken down in the table below.

CAD Editor	Comes with SOLIDWORKS Professional & Premium CAD licenses. For SOLIDWORKS users. Has full read/write access to files from explorer and within SOLIDWORKS via PDM add-in. Contributor	Separate license. For non-SOLIDWORKS users - generally management who needs to do approvals on drawings, etc. Has all the same functionality as CAD Editor without the SOLIDWORKS PDM add-in. Full read/write access. (Depending on assigned permissions) Not upgradable to PDM Professional version.	Separate license. Viewer	Separate license. For users who only require READ access into the vault, i.e., Procurement / Finance/ Manufacturing. Bundle pack of 5 licenses. Not upgradable to PDM Professional version.
