PDM: View Setup shows error: "Attached, Missing Information"

When trying to create a new local view, the View Setup wizard shows an error: "Attached, Missing Information"

ALWAYS ENSURE TO EXPORT YOUR REGISTRY KEYS BEFORE MODIFYING / DELETEING. AN INCORRECTLY MODIFIED / DELETED KEY CAN HAVE ADVERSE AFFECTS ON YOUR SYSTEM.

 

Check for and delete the following registry keys:

  • Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SolidWorks\Applications\PDMWorks Enterprise\ConisioAdmin\Servers\$SERVERNAME$\FileVaults\$VAULTNAME$
  • Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SolidWorks\Applications\PDMWorks Enterprise\Vaults\VAULTNAME
  • Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SolidWorks\Applications\PDMWorks Enterprise\ArchiveServer\Vaults\VAULTNAME
  • Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\SolidWorks\Applications\PDMWorks Enterprise\Databases\VAULTNAME


Next, ensure that no leftover vault local view folder exists in the target location (for example, C:). Delete the folder if necessary. If it does not want to delete the old local view, first delete the hidden Desktop.ini file in the root location of the folder and then delete the old local view folder.

Re-run the wizard. It should be able to create the local view now.
