How to organize Assembly Trees using myCADtools

Organizing assembly trees using MyCADtools for faster tree organization.

The “Tree Manager” tool from MyCADtools is a very helpful tool to use for organizing your feature/assembly trees and can even differentiate your items by color. Organizing your tree alphabetically or chronologically is very helpful for quickly finding items to edit.

Organizing Tree Features Alphabetically

Firstly, we will open the assembly of choice and add the MyCADtools tab:

Right-click in the existing tabs area >Tabs > MyCADtools

Then we navigate to Other tools... > TreeManager

Once selected, we have a variety of options but for now, the “Sort” tab on the left will be selected:

The tree can now be sorted by using either one of those options, but for now the “Sort ascending A-Z” will be selected.

Click “Sort” on the right-hand side and look at the results:

Here the feature tree has been sorted alphabetically, thus making it easier to find tree items that may have been previously difficult to find.
