This article shows how a user with SOLIDWORKS Connected can install the license.

Prerequisites:
- You or someone in your company must have received and accepted the CLOSA (Client License), which is received via email.
- You must be an invited user on the platform and have the 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS Role assigned to you.

Step 1: Access 3DEXPERIENCE
Navigate and login to 3DEXPERIENCE, use the below links for relevant customers.

Step 2: Install Launcher
Next you need to install the 3DEXPERIENCE Launcher. This is the link between 3DEXPERIENCE and your PC and all Native Apps (aka Installed Apps).
To start the install of 3DEXPERIENCE Launcher, select the compass in the top left, then select any app that does not have the arrow box in the top right-hand corner. The best would be to Select "SOLIDWORKS Connected".
To find SOLIDWORKS Connected, select the magnifying glass and search "SOLIDWORKS". It will then show up under your "My Apps" section.
Step 3: Install 3DEXPERIENCE Launcher.
Initially, you will be prompted to download 3DEXPERIENCE Launcher, which is the link between the Cloud 3DEXPERIENCE and anything on your PC. Select the "Download 3DEXPERIENCE Launcher". Once downloaded, run the "3DEXPERIENCELauncher.msi" file. Follow the prompts and once done, go back to the web interface and press continue.
Step 4: Install SOLIDWORKS Connected
Next, select the "Install All Roles Containing SOLIDWORKS Connected" button to start the SOLIDWORKS install, it will take a little while to initialize, please be patient. Once ready you will see the install screen shown as in the image below.
Step 5: Follow the Prompts to Install
Follow the prompts in the install window to complete, if you get any errors or messages you are unsure about, please reach out to our support team.
Step 6: Launch and Create Desktop Shortcut
Once the install has completed, go back to the web interface, and select the "SOLIDWORKS Connected" app as in step 1 to launch SOLIDWORKS. You can also create a desktop shortcut by selecting the drop down next to the app, and selecting the icon shown below.
