New SOLIDWORKS Licenses
Dassault Systèmes announced in their recent blog, there will be an increase in the cost of subscription for new perpetual licenses and renewed term licenses for SOLIDWORKS Desktop CAD products, from July 2023. This coincides with the inclusion of the new SOLIDWORKS Cloud Services with these licenses.
With this increase, SOLIDWORKS, the new Cloud Services, and the premier cloud infrastructure that underpins these products are all assured of continuous development.
New perpetual SOLIDWORKS desktop CAD licenses will also need to be acquired with a two-year subscription starting in July 2023.
For Perpetual licenses following the initial two years, licenses may be renewed annually. You will still have access to SOLIDWORKS if you decide not to renew the subscription for the perpetual license, but you will no longer receive SOLIDWORKS Cloud Services, technical support, version and service pack updates, and SOLIDWORKS Visualize.
Existing SOLIDWORKS Licenses
There are no changes currently for existing SOLIDWORKS Licenses, no cloud services are included by default.
Customers with existing subscriptions of perpetual SOLIDWORKS Desktop CAD licenses have the option of upgrading their plans to include SOLIDWORKS Cloud Services. There will be an increase in price to reflect the addition of SOLIDWORKS Cloud Services to SOLIDWORKS Desktop CAD term licenses that are renewed after July 2023.
