      SOLIDWORKS Electrical Schematic: How to download additional components and their libraries

      What is the SOLIDWORKS Electrical Content Portal?

      Electrical Content Portal is a content service hosted by Dassault Systemes. It gives access to a comprehensive and intelligent catalog of qualified electrical components.

      How to access the Electrical Content Portal:

      1. In SOLIDWORKS Electrical Schematic, Click 'Help' tab.
      2. Click 'Electrical Content Portal' on the command manager.


      You will be redirected to the SOLIDWORKS Electrical Portal.

      1. On the 'Home' tab, you will find the Most Downloaded Manufacturers.
      2. The 'Search Bar' can be used to find the required manufacturer.
      3. Enter a manufacturer in the 'Search Bar', and click 'Search'

      For this demonstration, Schneider Electric will be used.

      Downloading a library part.

      On the 'Catalogs' tab  , a list of all the available manufacturing components for Schneider Electric can be downloaded.

      1. Select the part or component library to download.
      2. By default, the downloaded part or component library will be stored in your 'Downloads' folder.

      Note: Parts and component libraries can only be downloaded with an updated subscription.
